Obituary for Nancy Sue Coker

Nancy  Sue  Coker
Nancy Sue Coker- age 69 of Mount Pleasant passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. Nancy was born on October 24, 1947 in Sandusky Michigan, to parents Frank and Hazel (Leavitt) Coker. She was a graduate of Farwell Class of 1965 and always looked forward to fellowship time with her classmates. Nancy was a beautician, owning a beauty shop, and also worked clerical at Butterworth Medical Center. She was involved with the Farwell Chamber of Commerce, coached girls’ softball, and most recently served with theFoster Grandparent Mentor program at Renaissance Public School Academy in a Voyager classroom. Nancy loved reading, dancing, golfing, her cats, was a Red Hatter, and loved her travels especially to Florida. She attended Living Hope Lutheran Church and loved her church family. She is survived by two sons; Jeffrey and wife Bridget Johnson of Pierson, MI, Ryan and wife Rashel Johnson of Vestaburg, a sister Linda Flynn and husband Tom of Florida, two sisters-in-law; Peggy Coker of Beaverton, Theo Coker of Clare, seven grandchildren; Hayley, Olivia, Zachary, Gracie, Seth, Trevin, Abigail, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and brothers Richard and David. A funeral is planned for Saturday, November 19th at 11:00 AM at the Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Bill Twynham will officiate with burial in Surrey Township Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Friday, November 18th from 2 to 8PM.
