Vernard LeRoy Parsels – age 80 of Farwell, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Vernard was born to parents Lester LeRoy and Ella Louise (Davis) Parsels in Adrian, MI on March 29, 1942. He grew up and lived much of his life in Onsted, MI. He married Rosemary Griewahn on November 11, 1961 at Raisin Valley Friend’s Church in Adrian. After Rosemary’s untimely passing, he met and married Kathy Sue Snyder in Baldwin, MI on December 29, 1994. Vernard worked for Peerless Gear in Clinton, MI in the heat treatment division for many years, and later became a farmer. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the NRA, Good Sam Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Surviving are three daughters, Lori Lee (Brian) of Farwell, MI, Lisa Rathbun (Larry) of Adrian, MI, and Lynn Church of Lake, MI. Grandchildren Heather Lee (Andros) of Holt Summit, MO, Cara Lee of Holt Summit, Mo, Autumn Clemons (Ryan) of Jackson, MI, Kelsey McKinley (James) of Clarklake, MI, Ashley Roe (Derek) of Adrian, MI, Kyle Rathbun of Adrian, MI, Derek Church of Jefferson, MO, and Olivia Church (Victor) of Woods Cross, UT, and two great-grandchildren, Alayna Rathbun and Maverick Roe, both of Adrian, MI.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemary Parsels, his second wife, Kathy Parsels, and his parents, Lester and Ella.
