Obituary for Robert Glenn Krabill

Robert Glenn Krabill – Age 91 of Lake, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. He was born to parents Abraham and Mamie (Curre) Krabill in Toledo, Ohio on February 14, 1931. He joined the US Navy and served his country honorably for 30 plus years, spending over 25 of those years assigned to the SeaBees as an equipment operator before retiring from military service. He was united in marriage to Colleen Phenix in Garfield Township on August 23, 1953. Together they raised 4 children. Robert was an electrician and worked until his retirement in 1979 at Fisher Body in Lansing. He was a member of the Lake Eagles Aerie 3761, the American Legion Post #558 and the DAV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting and antiquing. He especially loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his little bud, Bear, his Pomeranian.
Robert is survived by his 4 sons, David (Becky) Krabill of Mt. Pleasant, Steven (Irene) Krabill of Saginaw, Timothy Krabill of Lake, and Daniel (Debbie) Krabill of Lake, seven grandchildren Christopher Krabill, Bret (Erin) Krabill, Michelle (Brian) Mattheis, Ken Krabill, Ben (Stephanie) Krabill, Ty (Shannon) and Nicole (Chris) Brown, 18 great grandchildren, brother Duewayne Krabill (his friend Jill), sisters Erma (Ralph) Forbes, and Margaret (Bill) Geyer, and many special nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Colleen Krabill, in 2017, an infant daughter, Katherine Ann in 1957, his parents, Abraham and Mamie Krabill, a sister, Betty Scott and infant sister, Rose Marie, as well as his grandparents.
A funeral will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Farwell on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Robert’s nephew, Mark Forbes, will officiate. A military walk-by solute will be provided by the American Legion Post #558, and the Lake Eagles Aerie 3761 will perform honorary funeral rites at the funeral home. Robert will be laid to rest next to his wife in North Brinton Cemetery. Military honors will be provided at the cemetery by the American Legion Post #558. Memorial considerations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association or American Legion Post #558, envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
