Obituary for Montie Eugene Fall

Montie Eugene Fall – Age 87 of Lake, MI passed away at Woodland Hospice House of Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Montie was born to parents Phon and Leota (Drury) Fall in Dearborn, MI on September 4, 1934. Montie married the love of his life, Gayle Ann Dorsey on May 26, 1989, in their dining room in Wyandotte. He was a faithful and loving husband to her for 31 years, caring for her throughout her battle with Alzheimer’s.
Montie worked as an electrician for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn until his retirement. He was also an incredibly talented woodworker. He made baby cradles, rocking horses, flower boxes, small picnic tables, an entertainment center, a Grandfather Clock, coffee tables, end tables, small wooden toys such as trains, fire trucks, bulldozers, and cranes. He whittled cowboys, golfers, dogs and an entire saloon setting.
He loved to hunt back in the day and his love for fishing continued until his passing. He enjoyed playing cards, dice and dominoes.
He was a kind and quiet, soft-spoken man who was loved and respected by many.
Montie is survived by his son, Kenneth Fall, daughter Dianne (Skip) Therrien, stepson Richard (Fran) Dorsey, 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Ann Fall in August of 2020, a daughter, Anita Tuominen, stepchildren Steven Dorsey and Pamela Simons, his parents, Phon and Leota Fall, and a sister, Sandra Kay Holbird.
A time of viewing and visitation will be held at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM. Montie will be laid to rest next to his wife in Freeman Township Cemetery. Memorial considerations are being accepted for the American Heart and Lung Association.
