Julie Anne Piotrowski – Age 65 of Lake, passed away at Schnepp Senior Care & Rehab Center in St. Louis on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Julie was born on June 25, 1957, and adopted by her parents, Mickey and Joyce (Moir) McGowan. She married the love of her life, Michael Piotrowski in Redford, MI on May 31, 1985. They were blessed with 3 children, two boys and a girl. Julie and Michael moved their family to Lake from the Detroit area 17 years ago, following Michael’s retirement from GM. She enjoyed baking and crochet, going fishing and playing bingo, but more than anything, Julie loved being a mother and a grandmother.
Julie is survived by her faithful husband of 37 years, Michael Piotrowski, sons Christopher Piotrowski and Sean (Lindsey) Piotrowski, daughter Julie Piotrowski (Josh Jackson), grandchildren Chase, Natalie, Ashlynn, Cheyenne, and Lydia, mother Joyce McGowan, brothers Patrick McGowan, Robert McGowan, Thomas (Sharon) McGowan, twin sister Joyce Sullivan, Eugene Carll, and Maryann Grau and husband Brian, as well as many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mickey McGowan, and her Grandma Cross.
According to her wishes a cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Farwell on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
