Obituary for Joseph Williams

Joseph Williams – Age 90 of Lake, passed away at Medilodge of Clare on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Joe was born on May 21, 1932 to parents Roy and Linna (Freer) Williams in Standish, MI. Joe married the love of his life, Nancy J. Schultz in Midland, MI on April 20, 1980. Joe worked as a pipefitter and retired from Local 85 Plumbers & Steamfitters in 1990. He was a man of faith and joined Shield of Faith Ministries in Saginaw. He was also active in the Ruffed Grouse Society, the American Legion, and Trout Unlimited. He enjoyed bird dog sports, grouse and bird hunting, deer hunting and fishing.
Joe is survived by his daughters; Sandra Jo Misaras of Boon, Lisa Randall of Saginaw, and Diana (Terry) Bushre of Sanford, grandchildren; Ben Misaras and his partner, Chris Genther, Ashley Baney-Minnich (Karl), and Michael Kilbreath, great grandchildren; Gabriel, Cyan and Hazel, brothers Leonard (Sheila) Williams of Midland, Richard (Margaret) Williams of Spruce and sisters Linna Meese of Charlotte, Nellie Valley of Alpena.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, parents Roy and Linna, brothers Harvey, Roy, Ray, William and John, brother in law Karen Valley, and sister in law Norma Williams, as well as his beloved faithful German Shorthaired Pointer, Hans.
According to his family’s wishes, a cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Monday, March 6, 2023 at 1:00 Pm at Campbell Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Mike Maike will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 Am until the time of service at 1:00 Pm. Memorial considerations may be made to any of the following in Joe’s honor; Ruffed Grouse Society, Trout Unlimited, or Tail-a-Waggin. Donation envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
