Obituary for James "Jim" Allen Howard

James Allen Howard-age 65, passed away at his home surrounded by his family, on Monday, June 7th, 2021. Jim was born on December 27th, 1955, in Flint, Michigan. After High School he served with the United States Air Force. Jim was a passionate motorcycle enthusiast and operated his own cycle shop, known as Backwoods Custom Motorcycle. He also served with the Clare County Community Action Agency for the past 15 years. Jim was an animal lover, he also loved boating, restoring a Jeep, which has been his most recent project, and was an avid music lover. Jim was a devoted husband, friend, and mentor to many with a zest for life and the ability to do whatever he set his mind to. He could always bring a smile to those that knew him. Jim will be missed and leaves cherished memories to those that were privileged to know him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Robin Howard, his mother Clara Moyer, brother Mike and wife Carol Kelly of OR, sisters; Debbie Lane and husband Steve of FL, Michelle Jewell, Denise Todd, Theresa Moyer, all of Flint, Chris Hesser of Arkansas, sisters in law; Pattie Leis and husband Carl, Susan Hall, brother in law Bill Bailey and wife Lori of Alto, MI, and many nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Dorothy (Phillips) Howard, his sister Danell Moyer and his beloved dog Stella on June 2, 2021. A funeral service is planned for, June 11th, 2021, at 6:00 PM at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Jim Young will officiate. Family and friends may visit prior to the funeral service from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
