Obituary for Flora Lee "Flo" Cantrell-Straub (Flora Lee Taylor)

Flora Lee Cantrell-Straub (Flo)- age 78 passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at her home in Lake. Flo was born on May 21, 1943, in Erwin, Mississippi to parents Lovely and Annette (Miller) Taylor. Flo was a guardian angel sent down from heaven. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a passion for the Lord and for her family. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing, and community service. Flo was a licensed Cosmetologist and achieved a master’s degree in social services. Before her passing she was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Easter Seals for providing programs to support those with disabilities and their families throughout the state of Michigan and the United States. She is dearly loved and will be sincerely missed. Flo is survived by her husband Michael Charles Straub, her seven children; Gail Annette Cantrell, Sharon Diane Cantrell, Ricky Ricardo Cantrell (deceased) (Debra), James Chante Cantrell (Charlotte), Roger Montoya Cantrell (Tina), Flora Andrea Ayoola (Yomi), Cantrell LaQuita Straub, four grandchildren; Rickyda, Desha, Stephen, Folarin, and five great-grandchildren; Jack, Justin, Gia, Mia, and Joshua. A funeral service to celebrate her Homegoing is planned for Saturday, February 26th at 1PM, at the Liberty Baptist Church 6007 Mannsiding Road, Lake, MI, 48632. Pastor Doyle Ross will officiate. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10AM until the time of service. Flo will be laid to rest in the Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills, Michigan.
