Obituary for Duane Leon "Bing" Chapman

Duane “Bing” Chapman passed from this life Saturday, August 13, 2022 with his children at his side in the home that he lived in with his loving wife, Eunice, for 60 years. After 57 years, Bing retired from Dow Corning. Bing was proud to work for such a good company that made Midland grow into what it is today. Bing loved the outdoors. In summer he was on the lake, in winter he was in the woods. We all laughed at the time he boiled up a turtle and stunk the house up. He enjoyed NASCAR the last few years. Weekends there was usually a bonfire with drinking, singing, and plenty of joke telling.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Susan (Randy) Wells of Shepherd, MI, Terry Hudson of Georgia, Linda (Doyle) Harris of Farwell, MI, Brenda (Don) Host of Trenary, MI, son Vernon (Shelley) Vinson of Farwell, MI, brother Edsel (Shirley) Chapman of Midland, MI, sister Rita of Texas, daughter in law Bonnie Vinson, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and his beloved companion of 10 years, Smokie the Cat.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice, daughter Ilene Ingram, son Michael Vinson, and his parents, Bill and Jessie Chapman.
A celebration of Father and Mother’s lives will be held at a later date with a bonfire. Family and close friends will remember them with love. Please share your memories and condolences with Bing’s family online at www.Campbell-fh.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Farwell, MI.
