April 6, 1941 - October 9, 2021

Carol Ann Dixon, age 80, of Farwell, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Carol was born April 6, 1941 in Dorr, Michigan, the daughter of Merle and Lillian (Swartz) Hulslander. She was united in marriage to Warren Dixon on November 16, 1957.
Carol had served Surrey Township as a Clerk for eight years and as a Trustee for twelve years. She was involved with Labor Day and Farwell Fair Grounds activities. Carol enjoyed sewing, canning, crafting, and she loved planting and working in her flower gardens.
Carol is survived by her husband, Warren, of Farwell, their three daughters; Diane Hyatt and her husband Dennis of Walnut Grove, S. Carolina, Cindy Doughty of Midland, and Shelly Thomas and her fiancée Matthew Sweebe of Midland, one Sister Patty Keller of Midland, four sisters-in-law; Dorothy Manley and her husband Joe of Farwell, Nancy Thrush and her husband Michael of St. Augustine, Florida, Ila Kalka of Barryton, Melba Jean Dixon of Farwell, and brother-in-laws Elmer Ketchum and his wife Billie of Pennsylvania and Gale Bowman of FL, nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Norma Jean Cox and Janet Kay Bowman, a son-in-law, Steve Doughty, and three brothers-in-law, Jack Keller, Vern Dixon, and Ken Kalka.
Visitation will be held at Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell on Tuesday, October 12, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. A private service for the family will take place at Surrey Township Cemetery, Farwell, with Elder Melba Jean Dixon officiating.
