Alan Mark Renner – Age 67 of Farwell, passed away at the Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Alan was born on September 30, 1954, to parents Kenneth and Jean (Cook) Renner in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Al graduated with the Farwell Class of 72’ and was married to the love of his life, Sally Lewis, on October 14th, 1972 at the Gilmore Church of Christ. Al was a meatcutter by trade, retiring from Rics Food Center. Al was an avid hunter and fisherman especially fly fishing, and was his grandchildren’s biggest fan, cheering them on at all of their sporting events. Al will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Sally, two daughters; Rachelle John and husband Chad of Clare, Renae Maxey and husband Joe of Farwell, mother Jean Renner of Farwell, two sisters; Carol Forkum and husband Zeke of Farwell, Karen Halstead and husband Loel of Farwell, seven grandchildren; Karrisa, Austin, Kourtney, Collin, Bradin, Dawson, and Dayna. Alan was preceded in death by his brother Larry and his father Kenneth. A funeral mass is planned for Friday, November 12th at 11AM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Clare, Michigan. Msr. Francis Koper will deliver funeral rites with burial in St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.
